Organic Herbs, Spices, Fruits and Vegetables in our Salts
I all of the products I use in my salts using organic and sustainable growing methods. I chose organic over non-organic because I prefer not to grow using chemical fertilizers or chemical pesticides. Chemicals can leave residues on plant matter which work their way into the plant’s roots, leaves, stems and eventually ingested by us. Organic herbs and spices add the same zesty flavor to recipes as non-organic.
I grow organically the following herbs: two types of oregano, rosemary, two types of thyme, fennel, and two types of basil, sage and peppers. I also grow organically several varieties of peppers to include jalapenos, habanero, Ghost, Serrano, and Carolina Reapers and lastly several types of tomatoes. I also organically grow Meyers Lemons, Satsuma Tangerines and Ruby Red Grapefruits.
These organically grown herbs, spices and vegetables are the ingredients, along with salt from unpolluted sources that make up the Vintage Salt products.
I do not use any binders, preservatives or other substances. I am proud of our products.
